Launched: My22

We just launched My22! Your personal list of 22tracks favorites which you can access from any computer anywhere in the world. So, how does it work?

You need to register first by clicking on one of the hearts in front of every track in any genre or by clicking on ‘My22′ in the left bottom of the website. After registering you’ll receive an email with activation link. Be sure to check your spambox if you haven’t received it within 5 minutes. Click or copy the activation link from the email in your browser. Once activated you can login and add 22 separate tracks from any genre to your My22. Do so by clicking the hearts in front of the tracks you want to favorite. These tracks are added to your My22. You can use the arrows (up / down) to order your list. Use the delete (x) icon to remove the tracks from your My22.

Since our experts (the dj’s) decide which tracks are hot enough to be featured on 22tracks (they add about 5 every week / deleting the old ones at the bottom of their list) you could be surprised that with logging in the next day some of your My22 tracks are greyedout. You can’t play them anymore but can still buy them via the shoplink (cart icon) or visit the artists their homepage / twitter.

P.S. Yes, we are working on a iPhone app, and yes you’ll be able to access your My22. Release is scheduled for January 2010.

We’re almost there… My22

We tried launching it earlier this week, My22, your list of 22tracks favorites. Unfortunately we seemed a bit to eager. We launched it in the midday and decided taking it offline only a few hours later. It wasn’t ready, yet.

The guys from Venour (Steven!) worked around the clock from that day on to finish to what we have now. A good working beta of My22! Here’s a screencapture. Testing goes on up until launch. Tomorrow? Follow us!

22tracks X State Awards

We proudly announce our first weekspecial! Fans of Dutch hiphopmusic can eat their heart out. The good people of BNN and State Magazine (together with Lijn5, 101Barz and Revu) nominated five acts in twelve categories. Let them know who made the biggest impact in 2009 in your opinion. We had a great get together at the MiNiBAR last night! Together with producer/dj FS Green (soul / beats) and artist Faberyayo (De Jeugd van Tegenwoordig, Le Le) we launched My22 and gave away a bar loaded with drinks, 22tracks shirts and FREEpants. See you december 22nd?

22tracks at MiNiBAR, launch of My22 and blog!

From now on 22tracks has it’s own get together, every 22nd of the month, at the MiNiBAR in Amsterdam. Every 22nd of the month from 20:00 o’clock we will celebrate new music and tell you about the latest developments, launch new features, genres, dj’s and anything else that has to do with 22tracks. Together with some drinks, served by yourself from one of the minibars, you’ll be able to ask us (Vincent Reinders & Gilles de Smit) anything you want or give us and the dj’s some love. Be there or be…

On the 22nd of November 2009 we launched My22, a simple new feature to create your own personal list of favorites from 22tracks. Love a track? Add them to your list by clicking on the heart icon and you’ll be prompted with a log-in or register option. From now on you can access your My22 anywhere in the world by simply logging in. Since it’s really new and barely finished in time for the launch it probably still has some bugs. Note that the tracks which are deleted on 22tracks will be greyed out in your My22, don’t whine about the loss you should have bought them, go add some new!

Since you found this blog you probably were at the first 22tracks get together or heard about the *secret* url. Now go spread it for the love of new music!

Wow. Since we launched our extra genres at lifestyle magazine Bright
and the next night at the ADE Network Bash,

Pitchfork notified their 1.2 million followers about us, we’ve got attention from New York (2) to Japan, Germany and Austria and a bunch of other sites worldwide, which resulted in a nice amount of visitors from 125 countries.

Dutch readers might want to see why we were Startup Of The Week at The Next Web and check out this interview by FunkiMag with 22tracks founder Vincent Reinders. Voters also decided to have a report about 22tracks in Amsterdam Inc (AT5), a tv show about entrepeneurship.
